Olympics in Surrey?

27 July - 12 August 2012
Surrey is unlikely to host any competition events as all the official venues for Olympic and Paralympic events in 2012 have been designated, but it will benefit from being very close to the rowing venue at Eton Dorney and the venue for tennis at Wimbledon. Royal Holloway University London is to provide the athletes' village for the Eton Dorney rowing venue.

The original venue for the shooting at the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics was the National Shooting Centre at Bisley in Surrey, but the plan was changed after the International Olympic Committee expressed reservations about the number of sports which London proposed to stage outside the city. The shooting events will now be held at a temporary venue at Woolwich Barracks, but many are unhappy that the venue will have to be dismantled after the Games, meaning that there will be no lasting facilities once 2012 passes by. Discuss and vote - Where do you think the 2012 shooting events should be held?
