64 Year Old Royal Wedding Cake Found at Hospice

A slice of the royal wedding cake from the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh which occurred in 1947 was discovered by a volunteer at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.

Anna Fiddimore discovered the royal treat while looking for images and newspaper clippings to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the hospice.

The cake was donated to the hospice in the hope that it would be auctioned to raise money for the charity.

Any collectors who are interested in purchasing this piece of Royal memorabilia should contact the hospice on 01372 461954.

Let us know of any strange, rare or just plain weird collectables you've stumbled across on the forum.
