Housing bosses at Woking Borough Council are planning to build 5,000 new homes in over the next 17 years.
Other Council Chiefs have expressed concern over the ambition of the project, since the current budget cuts have yet to be fully announced.
In a meeting last Thursday (October 7th), the plan was for an annual provision of 292 new dwellings in Woking borough built between 2010 and 2027, with the areas of Sheerwater, Maybury and Goldsworth Park pencilled in for growth.
Do you live in Woking? If so, what do you make of the large increase of housing proposals?
