Halloween is a spooky time of year, but even we didn't realise just how spooky the half term can be in Surrey.
To begin with there's the
October Half Term fun at Rhs Wisley. Including creating your own sinister scary apple, making pumpkin hats and baking some spooky cakes. This should help in preparation for scaring Trick or Treaters when they knock on your door.
If you're not scared by witches, ghosts or pumpkins then how about loud noises? This year Dapdune Wharf are hosting their
Bang goes the half-term event at Dapdune Wharf. Where you will have the chance to create water rockets and exploding bath bombs.
Creating explosions is all well and good but if you want to return to the ghouly this Halloween Painshill have provided the perfect setting with their
Wild Halloween Camp (for children aged 8-13). Which encompasses wild journeys, den building and a night around the campfire where you can share spooky ghost stories.
But that isn't our scariest event! Surrey Wild Life Trust have created a
Spooky secrets of the wood night. During the night you will be able to create your own freaky crafts and take a walk with "the Ranger" to discover the creatures that patrol the woods at night.
While we've seen a lot for children to get scared from how about something for the whole family.
Leatherhead Town Centre is being fiendishly decorated for Halloween and will give you the chance to meet the giant troll who lurks nearby, try some yucky dip and see the horrors of grave digging.
Is there anything more scary than
murder mystery? This year the Brooklands hotel have created a themed night where you have the chance to figure out who committed the murder over some wine and a three course dinner. (
Adults Only).
We hope you all enjoy your half-term in Surrey, hopefully it won't scare you too much!
