Our Favourite End of Summer trips in Surrey

The schools return within the next few weeks and although September signals the end of the summer, there's still some great places in Surrey to visit this month. Below we have outlined our favourites:

If you're looking for Wildlife this Back to School period, look no further than The British Wildlife Centre. Which houses over forty different native species from Red Squirrels to the Pine Marten.

For History this September how a trip to Hampton Court. The Palace was King Henry VIII's favourite and has a range of Tudor decor. The Palace also features one of the oldest Tennis Courts which is still in use today.

On the subject of history another trip out in Surrey that families shouldn't miss is Hatchlands Park. For starters families can visit the natural adventure area where children can run over and under a hand crafted willow tunnels as well as have the chance to compete in the Garden games.

For nature this September how about a visit to Birdworld in Farnham. Birdworld is one of Britain's largest bird parks and gardens. During your trip to Birdworld there will be a chance to see birds from all over the world as well as meet visit the Jenny Wren Farm where animals roam freely with visitors these aren't just exclusive to birds other farm animals such as Cows, Pigs and Goats will also be there to visit guests.

Finally there's the chance to take a trip to Painshill Park. The park has over 158 acres and a unique blend of plants and environment. While visiting Painshill families have the choice of visiting the Serpentine Lake as well as the chance to bring their Dogs (They must be on short leads). You can have a picnic within the grounds of the park this September or visit Hamilton's Tea Room.

We hope you enjoy the Back to School period. If you're interested in our favourite school trips in Surrey for the 2014/15 school year click here.
